No. CLOAK has no upload server at all. Detection, grid compositing, and encoding all happen inside the browser tab you're looking at — not a single byte of your file is transmitted. You can verify this yourself in your browser's network tab.
No. The result is downloaded only to your device, and everything in browser memory disappears when you close the tab. There are no accounts and no processing history.
Completely free, with no watermark. The site is supported by the ads displayed on the page.
Recent Chrome and Edge work best (WebCodecs + GPU acceleration). Recent Safari is also supported, though some codec combinations may be limited. Unsupported browsers see a notice when opening the Studio.
Input: most videos your browser can decode — MP4, MOV, WebM — plus JPG, PNG, and WebP images. Output is MP4 (H.264).
Very small or blurry faces can be hard to detect. Turn tracking off to enter manual placement mode, where you can drag the grid in the preview to set its position and size yourself.
It appends silent black frames to short clips so they reach a target length (4 seconds by default). You choose whether the black segment goes in front of the clip or after it.
There's no hard limit, but since everything runs in your device's memory, very long or high-resolution videos may slow down or fail depending on your hardware. CLOAK is optimized for clips up to a few minutes.
It depends on your device and the video resolution, but on modern hardware with GPU acceleration it's typically around real-time or faster.
